Antonio Violins & Ukes is a local, family-owned business based in Cincinnati. Since 1993, we’ve focused on making orchestral string instruments accessible to students, families, and music programs. We have two retail locations serving the tri-state area, along with a global wholesale side through Amati’s Fine Instruments and Amahi Ukuleles.
Our retail team works directly with students, educators, and professional musicians, helping customers find the right instrument and accessories while also maintaining and servicing instruments over time. While orchestral strings are our primary focus, we carry a variety of instruments, including tongue drums, ukuleles, banjos, and guitars.
Antonio Violins believes that ongoing support, guidance, and keeping music fun is what turns beginners into lifelong musicians. We don’t just hand someone an instrument and send them on their way, we stay involved and support them throughout the entire journey.
Beyond retail, we’re deeply engaged in the local arts community, participating in events like BLINK, Lumenocity, and Music Labs with the Cincinnati Pops. We also partner with organizations such as MYCincinnati, NoteAble, QtheMusic, the Liberian Youth Orchestra, Make Music Day Cincinnati, and Melodic Connections.
Antonio Violins & Ukes is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our retail team! We are currently hiring full–time, part-time, and seasonal positions, a perfect opportunity for high school and college students looking for work during summer break.
Our busiest season is from May through September, coinciding with the end and start of the school year, when students return rental instruments, exchange sizes, or pick out their first instrument. This is an exciting time to be part of our team and help students on their musical journey.
As the first point of contact for customers, retail associates play a key role in creating a welcoming experience. You’ll help match customers with the right instruments, rentals, and accessories while working closely with our luthiers to ensure exceptional service.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers and staff. Candidates should be LGBTQ+ friendly and comfortable working with a diverse clientele and team.
If you love music, enjoy being part of the local arts community, and want your work to have a real impact, you’ll fit right in!
Musical experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
